英語中形容詞和副詞有三個比較等級,即原級,比較級和最高級.
兩者進(jìn)行比較時,用比較級,“…比…更…”.

三者或三者以上進(jìn)行比較時,用最高級“…最…”.
一.形容詞或副詞的比較級與最高級的變化規(guī)則.
1）單音節(jié)詞尾加er或est,變成比較級或最高級.
new-newer-newest hard-harder-hardest
great-greater-greatest
2)單音節(jié)詞以e結(jié)尾的,只加r或st.
large-larger-largest nice-nicer-nicest
brave-braver-bravest late-later-latest
3）以重讀閉音節(jié)結(jié)尾,且詞尾只有一個輔音字母的詞,應(yīng)雙寫這個輔音字母,再加er或est.

4) 少數(shù)以“er”,“ow”等結(jié)尾的雙音節(jié)詞,末尾加er或est.

)以輔音字母+y結(jié)尾的單詞,先把y去掉,再加ier和iest

6)其他雙音節(jié)詞和多音節(jié)詞,在前面加more,most來構(gòu)成比較級和最高級

二.用法.
1）比較級只用于兩者之間,常用于“比較級+than”結(jié)構(gòu)中.
e.g.He is fatter than I.
She did it more carefully than he.
2）最高級常用于“the +最高級+比較范圍”
e.g.She is the best student in the class.
她是這個班里最好的學(xué)生.
She sings (the) best in the class.
她在這個班唱得最好.
3）形容詞最高級前必須加the,副詞最高級�？墒÷詔he.
